Paquiao Destroys Hatton in 2, Marquez/Mayweather Confirmed
On Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Manny Pacquiao needed just two rounds to destroy England’s Ricky Hatton. A right hook sent Hatton to the canvas in the first and a one-two put him down for a second time in the opening round. Pacquiao didn’t waste any time in the second as he used his skill and speed to walk Hatton into one of the best left hook knockouts one could ever witness. Hatton was on the canvas for a good two minutes.
In the co-feature event, Humberto Soto (48-7-2, 36 KOs) had to work a bit to finally stop the surprisingly elusive Canadian, Benoit Gaudet (20-2, 7 KOs). Soto scored a first round knockdown via a left hook. Gaudet recovered from the knockdown but backpedelled for much of the fight until Soto was finally able to break him down in the ninth.

Juan Manuel Marquez once again attempts to outduel Manny Pacquiao by accepting an even more difficult test in Ring Magazine’s former pound-4-pound #1 fighter, undefeated ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather. The fight creates an an enormous amount of intrigue because it marks Mayweather’s long-awaited return to boxing, and the winner is sure to face off against boxing’s current #1 superstar, Manny Pacquiao, sometime in the near future.
i think that marquez will win the fight by ko on the 10 round , maywheather is underestimating marquez just like hatton did to pacqiuao there is no doubt that marquez is the pound for pound king when marquez beats maywheather he should not fight pacqiuao because maywheather is the best pacqiuao marquez 2 was stolen just compare the fights of pacqiuao vs de lahoya vs hatton and then compare marquez. de lahoya and hatton were no match for the philipin but marquez has him scared 1 point sepaerates them both pacqiuao is doing everything possible to avoid marquez he doesnt want a part 3 because he knows what kind of fighter marquez is.
Pacquiao is not avoiding marquez. Sure he has difficulties fighting with marquez. But he already won against him, twice since a judge committed an error in scoring in their first bout.
Pacquiao is done with him..

But right now, instead of playing the same tune, he can challenge other belt-holders out there so he can broaden his horizons… rather than fight Marquez. Again. His next fight should have been with Mayweather, but due to circumstances beyond their control.. well.. *eyeroll*
Okay. so. Marquez against Mayweather. It’s been said a thousand times… I can’t figure out how exciting a bout between two counterpunchers could be. Techinique against technique.. My opinion …

jose, pacquiao is not afraid or avoiding Marquez. What do you want to see that pacquiao will loose to Marquez someday? you are sure to be JMM’s fans dude. pacquiao should pick someone else other than marquez to prove him self what hes capable of. Roach is also dealing with marquez, if he can beat maywayther come fight night. the table of pacquiaos team are still open to any fighters out there and they are just making good decisions. I want marquez to win over maywheather and be ready to fight pacquiao again. It would be an interesting one. If maywheather will win, i hope pacquiao can make PBF realize that, hey im just human and sometimes may fall.
Honestly I saw both pacquiao vs marquez fights, you can dispute the draw which can really go either way, but the second fight was clearly clearly taken away from marquez- the crowds reaction said it all and so did the statistics- apparently the judges stopped watching after the third round. In my opinion pretty boy floyd is better than both pacqiao and marquez- but that doesnt mean that marquez doesnt have a chance- hes an excellent counterpuncher and has tremendous heart, heart which cannot be trained or taught one of the best hearts since arturo gatti. Instead of debating whos better and whos not lets enjoy the fights – it will be a long time from now where we see great boxing like this, the sport is losing popularity to mma which i like but it doesnt compare to boxing. i hate all that ground grappling bullcrap- stand toe to toe and see whos the best fighter not twist the guys arm when hes not expecting it to win the fight. Boxing is not just fighting but a dance, a style, the sweet science, its a thing of beauty
